The Star: Schools scramble to prepare for CMCO
Following the announcement by the government to implement CMCO in Penang and that schools would be closed until the last day of school year (17th December), our teachers rushed back to NLPS early on Sunday morning to pack bags of learning materials and extra exercises to assist our pupils in their online home learning for the coming weeks.
Principal, Coach Michael on The Star:
“The school, especially the teachers, are well-prepared.
“We have conducted online learning before and have already worked out a platform that suits our needs.”
“We have finished our syllabus for the year and are now in revision mode so the CMCO does not affect our lesson plans at all.
“Our only fear is that the pupils may spend a lot of time on their gadgets at home during this time.
“This will influence their behaviour and thinking so we hope parents will look closely into the amount of time spent on gadgets and the kind of content the children are absorbing online.”
